中国英语学习者的超音段音位与其听力理解能力的关系(英文)
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHINESE EFL LEARNERS' PROFICIENCY IN SUPRASEGMENTAL FEATURES OF PRONUNCIATION AND THEIR LISTENING COMPREHENSION

摘要(Abstract):

本文对中国英语学习者的超音段音位与其听力理解能力的关系进行了研究。研究数据来自于62位两个不同专业的学生。研究结果表明:两个班学生的超音段音位掌握水平与他们的听力理解能力都成正相关关系。单个的超音段音位如重音或节奏或语调与他们的听力理解能力总体上也具有相关性。因此,笔者认为在听力课中老师应有意识地加强语音,尤其是超音段音位的教学,帮助学生克服语音方面给他们的听力所带来的障碍,以达到提高听力理解能力的目的。
This study attempts to examine the relationship between Chinese EFL learners' proficiency in suprasegmental features of pronunciation and their listening comprehension.Data were collected from 62 students of two different learning programmes.Results show that the learners' proficiency in the overall suprasegmental features of pronunciation is positively related to their listening comprehension for both classes.A single suprasegmental feature of pronunciation,namely stress,or rhythm,or intonation,is on the whole related to their listening comprehension.Therefore,it is concluded that the teaching of pronunciation(especially suprasegmentals)should be enhanced to help students overcome some phonological obstacles in their listening comprehension.
