摘要(Abstract)：

本文从系统功能语言学角度对美国作家海明威(1899—1961)的短篇小说《雨中的猫》进行功能语言分析。文章从语旨和及物性两方面着手,对小说中景物描写和人物的对话进行分析,意在揭示小说中隐含的主题思想,即第一次世界大战后欧洲大多数人冷漠的心理状态,从而透视作家冰山原则的写作风格,以求论证系统功能语言学理论在分析文学语篇方面的可操作性和实用性。
This paper attempts to demonstrate how certain theories of Halliday's SFL can analyze the implicit subject of the short story Cat in the Rain written by Ernest Hemingway. The paper will explore in two areas of the tenor of interpersonal function and transitivity of experiential meta-function. The purpose of the paper tries to verify unconcerned relationship among people in it and the writer's writing style-iceberg rule and the operative theory of SFL on the analysis of literary text.
